Estivill-Castro, V. and Clifton, C.

These volume contains papers selected for presentation at the Workshop on Privacy, Security, and Data Mining. Clarke (Clarke 1988, Clarke 1999) succinctly defined two fundamental notions: Information Privacy as 'the interest individuals have in controlling, or at least significantly influencing, the handling of data concerning themselves' and Dataveillance (Data Surveillance) as 'the systematic use of personal data systems in the investigation or monitoring of the actions or communications of one or more persons'.
